My first gallery ( https://ahchong.tripod.com/mypro ) would give you a rough idea of what computer modelling is all about. The first gallery contained some 2-D & 3-D images which I have uploaded last year including wireframe models, vector maps, contour maps etc. Unlike the first one, this second gallery of mine is basically targeted on the location of Kristal Heights Apartments (KHA), situated on the immediate north of Taman Sri Gombak in Selangor. To evaluate the surrounding areas of this on-going development (hill-side), some physical aspects of the site were studied in detail (qualitative). The study includes the site geology, topography (gradient & contour), drainage (surface run-off & groundwater) and landuse. Being a geologist myself, I was quite curious as to whether this development is "safe" in terms of its foundation (rock & soil type, slope geometry etc.); so I decided to carry out my own investigation that includes some desk studies, site visits and digital terrain modelling (DTM).
